We stayed at this lovely lodge for 2 nights and it was a perfect base for exploring the glacier. The peaceful location provided stunning views of the glacier and the short walk through the woods to town was a highlight. The included hot breakfast was delicious and the cozy shared area was ideal for meeting other travelers. Highly recommended!

We stayed for one night. Very nice accommodations and good breakfast. Rooms are spacious and comfortable - we did not stay in the main house. Excellent views of the mountains from the common area. Need a car to get to town which we had.

Only a small amount of rooms/cabins. Very luxurious with great views of the mountains. A little out of town but that was good - took a while to find though. Wish we could have stayed longer. Very welcoming.

Lodgings were comfortable and clean, with spacious rooms and a lovely view of the mountains. The host, Kaz, was friendly and helpful, arranging transport and holding breakfast for us. The breakfast itself was excellent, with hot food cooked to order. The location was also convenient, just a short distance from the town center.

The cost of the stay was a bit higher than what we were used to in other parts of the South Island. The description mentioned a mountain and ocean view, but we only had a mountain view.

The suite is very large and comfortable and although there iis no dinner offered, they will make bookings for you at nearby eateries. It is readily accessible to the glacier.

Convenient location on Highway 6, 1 mile from central town. Large, well-equipped bedrooms with comfortable beds and a good selection of DVDs. Excellent Continental breakfast with cereals, pastries, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Lovely lounge with a cozy fireplace and a view of the mountains. Close proximity to town center.

Just loved the luxury and would recommend it to anyone wanting a lot more than your average b & B. If you can afford it stay in one of the main house suites - just awesome.

This lodge provides comfortable and spacious rooms with large beds, well-maintained bathrooms, and amenities like a TV, fridge, and hot drinks. the breakfast is great and there are cozy lounge facilities in case of bad weather. the reception staff is helpful and welcoming, providing assistance with restaurant and tour bookings. the lodge is conveniently located near town, making it easy to explore the area.

We had a fantastic stay at this lodge. The lodge had stunning decor with a beautiful lounge area and a wonderful big fireplace. The glacier view from the lounge was breathtaking. The rooms were spacious, warm, and had lovely views from the patio. The breakfast provided was delicious, and the staff, especially Alex, were incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved the communal areas and the opportunity to mingle with other guests. The hotel facilities, including the bathroom with heated mirrors and the games area, were top-notch.

Our New Year experience at this lodge was fantastic! The staff was incredibly welcoming and provided excellent guidance on nearby restaurants and activities. The lodge itself had a beautiful alpine-like atmosphere, with spacious and comfortable chalets. The large bed and fine quality linen ensured a restful sleep. We also loved the outside terrace, where we could enjoy the stunning views of the mountains. Another great aspect was the included breakfast, with a wide variety of options including fruits, cereals, juices, yogurts. The hot served breakfast with a choice of eggs and bacon was a delicious treat.

There were actually no negative aspects to our stay. The lodge's location was perfect, just a short 5-minute drive away from the shops and restaurants in town.
